Walnaring Stud is managed by Sean and Cathy Dingwall.
Sean
is the fourth generation of a thoroughbred racing family.In 1998 Sean
moved from New South Wales to Victoria. Sean's family sell under the
"Caithness Breeding" Banner.
At 34 years
of age Sean has extensive expertise in the development of young horses
as well as animal husbandry. Sean also operates in the capacity as an advising agent on
the selection of stallion matings for mares residing at Walnaring and
also on the selection of racing and breeding stock available.
Cathy
Dingwall has grown up riding in the Equestrian arena being an
accomplished horse woman. Cathy has the skill and eye to provide
for the ultimate care for your mare/ foal or yearling.
The Walnaring Project blueprint for Walnaring Stud as it
comprises today, was first commenced in 2000.
Walnaring
has been built on a quality pasture improvement program, together with
one of the worlds safest type of fencing Diamond Mesh. Sean states
"It is a property
we are totally dedicated too and very proud of".
Walnaring
Stud is owned by Michael Abell, Melbourne business man and horse racing
enthusiast. Michael revels in the quality of life-style offered at Walnaring and he takes great pride and pleasure
in the
ethical breeding
and racing of thoroughbreds.
Michael
is expressly committed to establishing Walnaring Stud as a choice name in the market place and
being able in return, to offer a small selective group of quality yearlings for
sale.
