In various books
and newspaper articles on Ned Kelly and in particular, on his birth place,
the most plausible theory is that Kelly was born at the Quinn's Homestead
at Wallan Wallan (Wallan East) on Walnaring.
Built in 1850 the original homestead of 6 rooms, Quinn's Homestead
unerringly displays the total care and dedication with which the Quinn's
Homestead has been painstakingly restored and maintained. It is a total credit to
Walnaring's current owners and staff.
